Republishing “the Last Message of Van Gogh,” published by Joho Center Publishing Company, I partially revised the content, particularly the latter half. The total number of pages is less than the first published version by 50 pages. My main aim of this book is to understand Van Gogh’s state of mind when facing death. In the book, I suggested that the sketch “ Vincent’s Bedroom,” which is supposed to have been sent to Theo from Van Gogh, was a counterfeit. However, my theory has never been officially acknowledged. On the recent Webpage of the Van Gogh Museum, we can see the sketch in a compelling large size. Mr. Nagahiro Kinoshita, who has studied Van Gogh for many years, commented on this book in his epilogue.
